Bhavana is a famous south Indian actress. Bhavana born 6th June 1986 in trissure Kerala. Her father is cinematographer G. Balachandran Menon, and mother is pushpa. Her real name is karthika menon and nick name is kathy. Her debute film was kamal’s Nammal, which was also debute film for Jishnu, Siddharth and Renuka MenonWhich became a hit movie and all the newcomers in that movie got a good start so as bhavana.
She got many roles and acted in several movies with all leading malayalm actors, including megastar mammooty and bharath mohanlal. her hit movies in 2003 are Chronic Bachelor, C.I.D.Moosa.
2006 was her career turning point she got a role in a movie “Daivanamathil” directed by Jayaraj. Her role was a wife tries to alter and change the ideals of her Islamist fanatic husband. She won the Kerala State Film Award for Second Best Actress. This is the year bhavana’s first tamil film Chithiram Pesuthadi bhavana won filmfare best tamil female debut award and filmafre best tamil actress award for her role in that film. Veyyil her another tamil movie released the same year also became a mega hit.
In the year 2007 her movies were Chotta Mumbai, Rameswaram,arya. chota Mumbai is her first movie with superstar mohanlal which became commercially successfull. Her first telugu film was ontari in 2007 directed by Ramana produced under the banner Eetharam films.

In the year 2008 her movies were jayamkondaan in tamil and hero in telugu, bhavana acted in twenty:20 a Malayalam movie which became her comeback to Malayalam films in 2008, and lollypop which is also in Malayalam. In the the year 2009 bhavana’s movie robinhood became a blockbuster which is directed by Joshi. Produced by P.K. Muraleedharan. Bhavana’s character was roopa who silently helps her lover venki to have revenge on his enemy nandakumara menon. Her other movies where Mahatma in telugu and happy husband.
In the year 2010 her movies where Aasal in tamil and Jackie in kannada, Marykkundoru Kunjaadu in Malayalam which became super hit. In 2011 her movies are Kudumbasree Travels, The Metro, Arabiyum, Ottakavum, P. Madhavan Nairum which is filming now.
